Catlin Tucker is a Google Certified Innovator, bestselling author, international trainer, and frequent Edtech speaker, who currently teaches in Sonoma County where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2010. Catlin’s first book Blended Learning in Grades 4-12 is a bestseller and her second book Creatively Teach the Common Core Literacy Standards with Technology was published in June 2015. Norman Vaughan, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Education at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has co-authored the books Teaching in Blended Learning Environments: Creating and Sustaining Communities of Inquiry (2013) and Blended Learning in Higher Education (2008) and he has published a series of articles on blended learning and faculty development. Dr. Vaughan is the Co-founder of the Blended Online Design Network (BOLD), a member of the Community of Inquiry Research Group, the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning and he is on the Editorial Boards of numerous national and international journals.
Tom Fullerton will be facilitating our PreConference focused how we support First Nations, Metis & Inuit learners in online and blended spaces. Tom is a course lecturer at McGill University in Media & Technology in Education and First Nations & Inuit Education. He is responsible for the design of a blended learning teacher certification program in partnership with First Nations and Inuit Education at McGill.
